It was a great honour to welcome Krisztián Csigó to his fabulous masterclass and  brilliant bar takeover on his guest shift from down under, from Australia,  where he is working as a Assistant Bar & Restaurant Manager at Dean & Nancy on 22, ranked as Nr. 201 by TOP 500 Bars

D&N received the following precious awards, too:

• 2023 HM Awards for Hotel and Accommodation Excellence: Hotel Bar of the Year
• 2022 50 Best Discovery.

Biogaphy

When I turned 20, I got my first bar job as a barback at Boutiq’Bar, Budapest, where I immersed myself in bartending through a year of apprenticeship, where I found myself attracted to the similarities between cooking and prepping/creating beverages.

After 5 years of bartending at a few other venues I felt the urge to leave the country and expand my vision by traveling and bartending.

I had a short stop-over in Germany before got invited to Australia by my friend to a newly opening project slowly coming along in Sydney.

When hospitality in NSW reopened I shortly after rejoined the group as supervisor at Dean & Nancy on 22, our newest opening at the time.

After his talk of the town Masterclass held at Kempinski Hotel Corvinus on the afternoon of 12 September 2024, Kris was taking over the counter at Blue Fox The Bar and prepared in sambastic mood two exclusive cocktails that showcase his unique flair and expertise:
‘Starry Night’ and ‘Avallen’, featuring featuring the award-winning Triple Juniper Gin by  Never Never Distilling Co.
